What do you wear to the presentation in New York of “MOST FAMOUS INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER in all the Americas”? Liliya’s Audrey Hepburn reminiscent look is perfect!
Liliya’s friend Daria is an art dealer and knows the designer personally. She happens to be, as Liliya, a graduate from Moscow State University’s journalism department. And so thanks to this connection, Liliya was recently invited to a presentation by designer Karim Rashid.
Karim Rashid showed a collaboration with two other important figures. One was leading European antiquity carpet designer, Loloey. The other was Maiori, a sustainable furniture and solar lighting designer.
In short, it was the time and place to be dressed chicly. And Liliya’s black and white outfit was perfect. The base was a spring/summer white sleeveless, high-neck dress by Raoul. It’s a classic with its fitted waistline and just-above-the-knee hem.
Raoul designs, by the way, are from Singapore. The brand prides itself on excellent quality and fashion-forward styles. They also make sure their pieces are extremely wearable from the customers’ point of view.
Liliya’s black peep-toe Gucci flats were a very smart choice. Not only were they in line with that Audrey Hepburn vibe. But they also allowed for comfortable mingling among the fabulous crowd.
And to add a pop of color to the outfit, Liliya topped it with her red Kate Spade coat. (You might recall it from THIS POST.) The coat’s clean lines, structure, and bow at the collar make it a simple yet chic design. And it makes for an effect very similar to that of the designer’s outfit, in fact. Can you see how they were on a similar wavelength?
Red nails and simple gold jewelry, including a watch featured in THIS POST, are the elegant “frosting on the cake.” Overall, Liliya’s outfit was a styled in a beautiful and sophisticated manner. Now we know what to wear to our next art reception or design presentation, don’t we?
