On this beautiful day in Santa Cruz, California, dressing boho seemed like the natural thing to do. I’m wearing a floral maxi sundress, denim jacket, and eh-hem, high-heeled sandals (off the sand).

A dear reader Gabrielle recently commented on how she delights in the fact that bright colors are creeping into our wardrobe this springtime. There’s also this balancing act between wanting to wear lighter-weight clothes and staying warm on cool, windy days. This patchwork-inspired denim midi skirt with suede boots checks all those boxes.

I typically style my jeans for a super casual look. That means rolling up the bottoms and not bothering with heels, unless it’s for contrast (with destroyed denim, for example). Today’s OOTD is a bit dressier. I think I’d even wear it to an afternoon tea party…maybe.
